Praise Team Leader

Alps Road Presbyterian has a 9:00 a.m. contemporary worship service. It is aimed at all ages and has 50-80 people present on Sundays. The Praise Team Leader will lead worship on Sunday mornings and practice with the praise band one afternoon a week (5:45 p.m.). This person should be a dedicated Christian, have the ability to lead singing, and be able to coordinate the music of the Praise Team. Praise Team Leader


1.    To model through life, words, and action, faithful discipleship to Jesus Christ.

2.    To lead the congregation in worship at the contemporary worship service.

3.    To recruit, audition, practice, and build a cohesive praise team to lead worship at the Contemporary Worship Service.

4.    To select songs and music for the contemporary worship service in appropriate keys and with chord charts for the Praise Team. 

5.    The ability to play the guitar is a plus. 


Other comments: The make-up and size of the praise team will be left to the judgment of the Praise Team Leader in consultation with the pastor and Contemporary Service Team. The choice of songs is generally left to the Praise Team Leader in consultation with the pastor.

Youth Ministry Intern

Youth Ministry Intern


Position Summary

The youth intern(s) will be responsible for assisting with all ministries to Middle School and High School students. These include activities, outreaches, discipleship, Bible study, work projects and special ministries.



The Youth Intern is directly accountable to the Associate Pastor who is under the Senior Pastor and the Christian Education Ministry Team. 



The ideal candidate would be a college student, and able and willing to commit to ministry for a period of at least one year. Youth ministry and/or Camp experience helpful, but not required. 



To be an example of Christian health to our students and church members, shown through things like: 


•   Attending Sunday morning worship consistently.

•   Taking opportunities to grow in your faith personally. 

•   Demonstrating appropriate boundaries in life, relationships and ministry. 

•   Living out the gospel, not seeking perfection but embracing transparency and grace.

•   Growing in maturity as a Christian servant and leader:

•   Meeting weekly with Associate Pastor, reflecting on ministry principles and evaluating ministry experiences.

•   Serving as a leader in the Youth Ministry of ARPC:

•   Assisting in leadership/teaching of the Wednesday evening youth ministry programs.

•   Assisting in leadership/teaching of the Sunday morning youth Sunday School classes. 

•   Assisting in planning and execution of Youth Ministry special events. 

•   Taking opportunities to contact students through social media, texting, and personal contact.



The position pays $100/week, with an expectation of 10 hours/ week.
