May for Missions Presentation
Join us in the Fellowship Hall as we kick off May for Missions! We will hear from Gregg Pawlowski from Biglife about the story of the Pakistan Brick Kiln Rescue Mission. You don’t want to miss this awe-inspiring story.
Confirmation Sunday
Join us as we celebrate our 2024 confirmation students, who will have completed an 8-week experience that includes classes to wrestle with and cement foundational beliefs of the Christian faith as well as a retreat.
Youth End of Year Party
Join us for dinner and fun competition at Oconee Veterans Park in Watkinsville! Red vs. Blue teams will have fun playing different sports.

Graduate Recognition Sunday
We will recognize all of our high school and college graduates at both services this Sunday. If you or someone in your immediate family is graduating from high school or college (undergraduate or graduate) this year, or has graduated since August 2023, please let us know by sending the following information by April 29 to office@alpsroadpres.org: Name, school, graduation date, degree (for college grads), and plans for next year, if known.
May for Missions Guest Speaker
Miriam Nelson from Athens Pregnancy Center will provide a Minute for Missions in both services today to tell us more about how we can support the Center with our May for Missions 2024 giving. She will also have a table set up in the gathering area with more information.
Children's Choir Sings

This nearly 40 year old beach conference has the goal of presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to students and give youth leaders/volunteers a chance to spend quality time with their own church group. We have engaging speakers and bands at two main meetings a day, plus devotional time, and afternoons enjoying the beach, pool or church-against-church competitions.
Cost: $500
50+ Lunch Group
The April event will feature Oconee County Sheriff James Hale and Athens-Clarke County Captain John Radford. Entertainment will be provided by UGA music doctoral students Daniel Shafer and Robert Harrelson, vocalists. They will be accompanied by Greg Hankins, pianist. Lunch is provided by Master’s Table of Winder and is $8 at the door. Contact the church office (office@alpsroadpres.org) by Wednesday, April 24 at noon to make a reservation! Reservations are required for the meal.

Good Friday
The Gathering Area will be open for personal prayer and meditation on the Stations of the Cross.
Prayer Vigil
Prayer vigil in the Contemporary Worship Space begins after the Maundy Thursday service and concludes at noon on Good Friday. Please sign up for a private one-hour time slot of prayer.
50+ Lunch
Join us for our monthly lunch ($8 per person) catered by Masters Table of Winder in the Fellowship Hall. Musical entertainment is provided by the UGA Men’s & Women’s Glee clubs in the sanctuary following the lunch. Contact the church office by Wednesday, March 27 at noon to make a reservation.
Children's Easter Egg Hunt
Our children will have their Easter Egg Hunt after the church-wide potluck lunch. There will also be a petting zoo! Come and invite friends!

Join us for a church-wide potluck lunch after the 11:00am service. Fried chicken provided. Last name A-C brings dessert; D-G appetizer or bread; H-R side dish; S-Z salad.
Palm Sunday Services
Join us for Palm Sunday services at 9:00am and 11:00am. The children will process with palms at each service.

Cuba Yard Sale Drop-Off
We are accepting donations and selling items that are clean and in working order: next-to-new furniture, bikes, sporting equipment, baby items, artwork, electronics, small appliances, clothing, housewares, seasonal items, and more! We can pick up furniture and other large items beginning Saturday, March 16, if you schedule an appointment with Rev. Trimpe (revdeb@alpsroadpres.org).
Church Work Day
Help us spruce up the building and grounds for Easter! There are jobs for all ages: deep cleaning floors, washing windows, cleaning chandeliers, decluttering classrooms, limb pickup, spreading pine straw, etc. Many hands make light work!
Children's Musical
Our Children’s Choir will present the musical Table for Five…. Thousand!: The Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes in the Sanctuary at 6:30 pm. Dinner is available in the Fellowship Hall at 5:45 pm. Reservations are required. Please contact the office to make a reservation.

The Mix
THE MIX is a weekend-long experience centered on worship, growth, and relationships for middle and high school students in Athens. It’s an in-town retreat for 2,000+ students from 30+ churches. Our students will stay in ARPC host homes. Cost: $85
Senior Lunch Group
The February event will feature David Bradley, CEO of Athens-Clarke Chamber of Commerce, and John Daniel, Chair of the Oconee County Board of Commissioners, speaking about new 2024 activities in both counties. Entertainment will be provided by UGA music graduate Avery Draut, a singer/songwriter who has her own band in Athens and also works with the Metropolitan Opera in New York. She will be accompanied by Greg Hankins, pianist. Lunch is provided by Master’s Table of Winder and is $8 at the door. Contact the church office (office@alpsroadpres.org) by Wednesday, February 21 at noon to make a reservation! Reservations are required for the meal.

Ash Wednesday Service
The first day of Lent, Ash Wednesday, is set aside as a day of repentance and prayer. Join us for the Ash Wednesday service in the sanctuary.

The Golden Girls will enjoy a Mardi Gras lunch celebration at the home of Nan Burks.
Youth Sunday
Our youth will lead worship in both services today. Plan to be here to support our youth!
Souper Bowl Offering
Each worshiper is invited to contribute at least $1 as part of this national offering to help those who are hungry and food insecure in our own community. All money we collect will be sent to iServe Mobile Food Pantry.
Life Connections Soup & Sandwich Night
For anyone experiencing a life transition like moving into or newly in the empty nest stage, or other life transition, please join us at the home of Bob & Jan Rhodes. RSVP to the church office by Thursday, February 8.
