Children’s Ministry
What We're About
We’re here to partner with you, the parents, to lead your children to know, love and serve Jesus. We welcome them into a safe, loving environment where their faith is nurtured through stories, play, active learning experiences and games. Our goal is to set God at work in their lives as we invite all generations into a growing life with Jesus Christ.
We have a safe environment and exciting programs for our children during the worship service and on Wednesday nights. Our nursery is clean and staffed by paid workers. During worship, children not in nursery go to their own worship experience, up through the 5th grade.
On Wednesday nights, we have dinner at 5:45 p.m. followed by programs for children, including lessons, activities, and a children's choir program. In addition, there are special activities during the year for children and their families.
SUNDAY SCHOOL, 10:00 - 10:40 a.m. in the Children's Wing (rooms 205-213)
Sunday school and Children’s church provide a safe nurturing environment for our children to explore the Bible in ways that feed their imagination and encourages creativity as they grow in faith through bible stories, hands-on activities and games.
CHILDREN’S SUNDAY CHURCH (4 years – 5th grade)
9 AM WORSHIP SERVICE: Children attend the early portion of worship with their parents. Following the offering, children are invited to meet the Children’s Ministry Leader at the entrance of the Contemporary Worship area. From there, they are taken to the nursery/kids space area. Parents can pick up their child from there at the end of service.
11 AM WORSHIP SERVICE: Children attend the early portion of worship with their parents. They then join our Pastor for “Children’s Time” at the front of the church. Afterwards, they’ll meet the Children’s Ministry Leader at the side door of sanctuary and will be taken to the nursery/kids space area. Parents can pick up their child from there at the end of service.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT
5:45 PM FAMILY DINNER (kids' table always features pizza)
6:30 PM CHILDREN'S CHOIR (4 years – 5th grade)
7:00 - 7:30 PM KIDZ CLUB (4 years – 5th grade)
Our Wednesday-night program, allows the children to strengthen their faith and friendships through children’s choir and the Kidz Club program - children learn more about God in an exciting interactive environment. Children also learn to do God’s work through service projects which help them realize ways they can give back to the community.
NURSERY MINISTRY
AGES: 8 WEEKS – 3 YEARS
Sundays, 8:50 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
We welcome children, 8 weeks through 3 years old in the church nursery on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and for special services, whose parents are volunteering or participating in the adult programming.
For safety purposes, a parent of the child must always be in the building while under care.
Our nursery wing includes 2 rooms for babies and toddlers to play, a restroom for our smallest disciples, and a private room for nursing mothers. Our nursery staff are primarily college students who have each completed an application and interview and have submitted to a background check.
