If you have the ability to listen and care for hurting people, God may be calling you to be a Stephen Minister. If you would like to know more about Stephen Ministry or are considering being trained, please mark your calendars for Sunday, October 18. There will be two informational meetings. The first one will be immediately after the 9 AM service in the contemporary worship space. The second will be immediately after the 11 AM service in Room 100. You will have the opportunity to learn more and ask questions about Stephen Ministry here at ARPC.

To celebrate and honor our pastors, the Deacons are collecting cards for them from our congregation. Please bring your cards and place them in the basket on the Deacons’ Table.

When we asked about continuing a ministry with senior adults in mind, you said yes! Join us in the Fellowship Hall for a potluck lunch. The church will provide fried chicken and drinks. Bring a side dish, salad, or dessert to share, hear about what’s coming up, and enjoy music and a hymn sing with one of our music interns. iServe Mobile Food Pantry will be providing and serving food at Hilsman Middle School (870 Gaines School Rd., Athens). All ages are welcome, so bring the whole family!

Men are invited to wear red, white, and blue on Father’s Day, in honor of America’s 250th birthday this year. Prizes will be awarded for the most classy, creative, and over the top! We also have a special gift for all men during the gathering time (BACON!) and after each worship service.

Our Children’s Choir will present the musical Fired Up!: The Story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the Sanctuary at 6:30 pm. Dinner is available in the Fellowship Hall at 5:45 pm. Reservations are required. Please contact the office to make a reservation.
